Constellations returns to the West End this summer, playing at the Vaudeville Theatre in 2021. Four casts will take part in Constellations throughout the run, with Constellations tickets on sale now.
One evening, Roland and Marianne attend a barbeque. He's a beekeeper, while she's a cosmologist, gazing at the stars in the hopes of planning her future through multiple universes. Together, Roland and Marianne hit it off, but as the topic of infidelity bubbles to the surface, the pair break up. They've got every possible future stretching out in front of them, with each possibility changing up their relationship. Throughout the play, they meet each other in unexpected situations, with Roland at Marianne's side in her final days.
Constellations is a play that tackles topics of science, relationships and the stars in explosive fashion. Constellations first premiered in the West End at the Duke of York's Theatre in 2012. In a five-star review of Constellations for LondonTheatre.co.uk, "It is not exactly clear-cut because the strategy and methodology which this play employs is not easy to decipher with total accuracy. It is, nonetheless, fascinating." Constellations then enjoyed a two month run on Broadway, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Ruth Wilson.
Constellations in London is directed by Michael Longhurst, who returns to the production. He's also directed the recent West End revival of Caroline, or Change starring Sharon D. Clarke.
Constellations tickets are on sale now.
