As of 27 Apr. 2021, Local Hero is cancelled indefinitely at The Old Vic. 

According to The Old Vic: "We have tried to make this work within the theatre's schedule once we reopen but sadly this has just not been possible. We understand that this will be just as disappointing for you as it is for us and we want to thank you for your support of The Old Vic over the last year."

The hit comedy film Local Hero takes to the stage as John Crowley (Brooklyn, The Goldfinch) directs a new musical adaptation by Bill Forsyth and David Greig (Dr. Seuss's The Lorax) with music and songs by the legendary Mark Knopfler.
