Discover a new side to Shakespeare's famous teen, Juliet Capulet, in the pop-fuelled musical of the ages.
& Juliet is the West End’s answer to a music festival. Swedish music producer Max Martin’s greatest pop hits come to life in this radical Shakespeare reinvention. Romeo sings Bon Jovi, Juliet sings Britney Spears, and Romeo’s friends become a boyband. Get ready to party like it’s 1599.
After a world premiere in Manchester, & Juliet made its West End premiere at the Shaftesbury Theatre. & Juliet London received nine Olivier Award nominations, including Best Musical. & Juliet stars Miriam-Teak Lee and Cassidy Janson won Best Actress in a Musical and Best Supporting Actress in a Musical respectively. See the Olivier Award-winning actresses on stage until the show closes in March 2023.
If Juliet Capulet didn’t die, what would she do? The & Juliet musical picks up from the iconic moment at the end of William Shakespeare’s legendary love tale. Rather than her going through with the final, fatal act of the play, Juliet puts down her dagger and begin the search for a better life. Along with the Nurse, she takes to Paris with a group of friends and takes control of her story.
Expect plenty of pop and rock ballads in this musical. As well as songs by Katy Perry, The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, and Kelly Clarkson, there's an original song in & Juliet written specifically for the musical. Listen out for "One More Try" sung between Romeo and Juliet in the second act. Check out all the Max Martin songs in & Juliet in London..
