The musical features an original score of songs by Bareilles, written in her light country-rock style performed each evening by a live on-stage band.
Waitress was nominated for four Tony Awards including Best Original Score, Best Musical and Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical for Jessie Mueller. The production began its first US National tour in October 2018.
The original cast of Waitress starred Katharine McPhee as Jenna Hunterson in Waitress, making her West End debut after playing Jenna on Broadway, as well as starring in NBC's Smash.
