Danny Dyer and Martin Freeman star in the final production of Jamie Lloyd's Pinter at the Pinter season. Tickets are now on sale for The Dumb Waiter and A Slight Ache at the Harold Pinter Theatre.
The Dumb Waiter sees two hit-men sit in a basement room awaiting confirmation of their next target. Gus, the younger of the two, is asking many questions to learn from Ben, the senior member of the team, as their evening takes unexpected turns.
A Slight Ache is about a couple, Edward and Flora, who invite a matchseller into their home. The matchseller may be silent, but what begins as a pleasant midsummer's day slowly descends into total chaos.
The Dumb Waiter and A Slight Ache is at the Harold Pinter Theatre until 23rd February, after it opened on 6th February 2019. Tickets are on sale now.
The production stars Danny Dyer (best-known for playing Mick Carter in EastEnders and worked with Pinter during the early stages of his acting career, and Martin Freeman (star of the BBC series Sherlock and last seen on stage in the West End in James Graham's Labour of Love). Jamie Lloyd directs both plays.
Harold Pinter was one of Britain's most renowned writers who had an unrivalled influence on the theatrical landscape. Over the course of his 50 year career, he became known for his the tension and atmosphere that was unique to his style. To mark ten years since his death on Christmas Eve in 2008, The Jamie Lloyd Company are producing a season of his one-act plays at the Harold Pinter Theatre.
