Sophie Herbert grew up in Frome, Somerset. Having trained in ballet, jazz, contemporary and tap from a young age, she went on to study Contemporary Dance at University of Northampton, with a particular focus on contact improvisation and post-modernist styles. Dance and theatre highlights include Pina Bausch's Vollmond at Sadlers Wells in 2013, Pussyfooting at The Edinburgh Fringe in 2016 and seeing Darcey Bussell in Sleeping Beauty at the Royal Opera House many years ago.
She enjoys baking, soppy films and funk music, and is a huge fan of Victoria Coren-Mitchell (see below).
